Keyword-Based Information Retrieval System for Improving Access to Reliable Public Health Documents Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health & Wellbeing.
This project demonstrates how classical information retrieval (IR) techniques can be applied to improve access to credible health-related documents, supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing. The system processes health-focused PDF documents, indexes their content, and retrieves relevant information efficiently in response to user queries.
Many individuals, healthcare professionals, and policymakers struggle to locate trustworthy health information within large document collections. This system addresses that challenge with a structured, explainable retrieval pipeline.
To develop a structured and reliable information retrieval system that enables fast, accurate access to verified public health documents for evidence-based decision-making.
The following are sample visual outputs and dashboards from the Health Information Retrieval System. These outputs demonstrate document retrieval results, query relevance rankings, and performance metrics for SDG 3–aligned health topics.
